History
Natasha’s Natureland was established by Natasha Christaki, who is the owner of Natasha's Wonderland since 1994 and Natasha's Babyland Wonderland since 2001, and who set the standard for high quality education and care within the bilingual nursery preschool kindergarten.
Ms. Natasha Christaki is a graduate of the German School of Athens and holds a degree from the Ekali School of Preschool Teachers. She pursued postgraduate studies in Child Psychology at the Institute of Education, University of London, earning a Diploma in Preschool and Primary Education as well as a Master’s in Child Development.
She holds both the Proficiency in English and the Grosses Deutsches Sprachdiplom and has been involved in early childhood education since 1987.
However, the most important role of her life has been being the mother of a wonderful daughter since 2011. During her daughter's early years, she shared her parenting journey through her blog, "Mom Kindergarten Teacher with Limits."
After gaining experience at Ziridis Schools and E.M.E.D.O.F, and completing her postgraduate studies in England, Ms. Christaki began teaching English to preschool children in small groups privately.
Her great success in this field, the growing number of students, and the trust of their parents led her to establish Natasha's Wonderland in 1994 and Natasha’s Babyland in 2001. In the spring of 2017, Natasha’s Babyland moved to a new, beautiful location on 2 Ious Street and was renamed Natasha’s Babyland Wonderland.
The idea for Natasha’s Natureland was born in 2020 and became a reality in 2023.
Ms. Christaki’s extensive experience in early childhood education and her deep love for children have driven her to continuously seek the best approaches to their education.
Observing the dramatic increase in children labeled as "hyperactive," "lacking concentration," "on the spectrum," or experiencing social difficulties—particularly after COVID-19—she was inspired to create a new school. This school would be closer to nature, more "free," allowing children to move, play, collaborate, and socialize not only within a preschool classroom but also in nature, free from the stress of "academic performance" and "school readiness." The innate need of young children to move and explore their world must be nurtured and encouraged.
Over the years, Natasha’s Babyland Wonderland has lovingly, responsibly, and thoughtfully guided hundreds of children in the area through their first steps in preschool. Together with Natasha’s Natureland, it will continue to do so for many, many more years to come!
